Wednesday evening, August 30, 2017, the College of William & Mary held their Convocation to open the 325th year of the College. After opening remarks by Provost Michael Halleran and President Taylor Reveley, Judge John Charles Thomas gave the keynote address. Leading the Class of 2017 through the Wren Building and through the gathered William & Mary community were Lynn Briley, Janet Brown and Karen Ely, the first African American students in residence at the College 50 years ago.
